Q- What else is required with this product?

A - We are manufacturing and selling subwoofers. It works with a compatible amplifier and good cabinet. The subwoofer may sound defective with a low grade amplifier. A typical result will be voice coil chattering, if amplifier input is not matching. Similar dissatisfaction scenarios may be encountered, if subwoofers are tested without a proper wood cabinet.

Q - What is the best practice to receive a product?

A - We understand that our products are not cheap. You have invested a significant amount of money to satisfy your DIY goals. Please make an unboxing video when you receive a product. Hand over the camera to another person to film, while you unbox the product. We need you to be covered against transport damage, and this is the best time to prove your claim. Any video filmed, after re packing the product at customer’s end, will be rejected.

Q - Who should buy this product?

A - DIY is an expensive hobby. It is time consuming, and sometimes the desired result may not be achieved in the very first attempt. If you really love immersive audio and are ready to spend for it, Fredo subwoofers are meant for you. Our products are heavy and solid. We will cover you for at least 6 months against manufacturing defects. However a new product replacement within the warranty period will come at the cost of courier charges. Please ascertain if you really need this product. There will be no cash refunds for customers changing their mind about their purchase.

Q - How much do I have to pay for a courier charge, in case of a replacement?

A - ₹100 per kg approximately. Customers in J&K and North Eastern states, will pay a little bit extra as couriers are very expensive to them. We will arrange for courier service. You can pay at the time of delivery.

Q - What if I receive a broken product?

A - We pack our products in wood. But it may happen, due courier mishandling, the product may get damaged. We request you to upload a CLEAR video of damaged products WITH wood packaging. Q- What if I feel there’s a manufacturing defect?

A - All products are checked before shipping. We request you to hook up the subwoofer/speaker with a good quality Amplifier and see its performance. Testing sponginess of the cone, dust cap of raw subwoofer in hands, should not be taken as a performance check. Voice coil integrity should only be checked with a live amplifier input. We request, not to use hand checks of any kind on the subwoofer. Testing subwoofers without a cabinet should be avoided. Free air testing is for checking certain TS parameters, not for ascertaining sound quality.

Q - Why do I have to pay for courier charges in case I feel there is a manufacturing defect?

A - This is a disputed scenario. We take utmost care in making and checking our products before dispatch. It may be the case that the subwoofer is hooked up to an incompatible amplifier or subjected to overcurrent which may lead to voice coil chattering/burning. Or there may be a genuine manufacturing defect. Either case, we request the opinion of our factory technician and we request the customer to pay approx ₹100 per kg of courier charge for new product shipping.

Q - What is the Importance of packaging material?

A - Please preserve the packaging wood material and box, in case of return/replacement. It will help us to receive the product, undamaged, back in the Fredo factory.
