Grill Installation Procedure - Strip off ring foam parts/periphery from the subwoofer for grill seating. Match Grill and Subwoofer chassis holes. Use screws in the grill package to secure the subwoofer with the grill to the enclosure.

Please note subwoofer ring foam parts/periphery are used as an air seal and seat in isobaric designs or inverted installations or certain types of bandpass enclosures.

• Tuned volume: 23 litres, for 8-inch Single magnet subwoofers.
• Slotted port primarily for movies and music.
• Box weight: 5.6 kg without packing.
• For 8-inch Double Magnet/DVC subwoofers, a Box volume of 32 Litres is recommended.
• Box dimensions: 40 x 32 x 25 cm.
• For connecting DVC subwoofers, 4 spring-loaded terminal points are provided.
• Box weight: 6.7 kg without packing.
• Cabinet volumes are compensated for board thickness/subwoofer body and terminal box protrusion inside box/wires.
• Rectangular front slotted port design.
• Slot width: 1.75 inches and length: 9.5 inches.
• Bigger, longer slot for low-frequency tuning of any standard size 8-inch subwoofer.
• Subwoofer fitting hole diameter: 18cm/7.25 inches. Note: The subwoofer hole will be covered with Autograde fabric. It needs to be cut with a blade before installation.
• The corners of the fabric, around the subwoofer hole, are perfectly aligned and pasted.
• 18mm MDF enclosure.
• Push-fit spring terminals at the side for audio wire connections.
• Use foam sealing inside for changing bass characteristics, if required.

Q - What is the best practice to receive a product?

A - We understand that our products are not cheap. You have invested a significant amount of money to satisfy your DIY goals. Please make an unboxing video when you receive a product. Hand over the camera to another person to film, while you unbox the product. We need you to be covered against transport damage, and this is the best time to prove your claim. Any video filmed, after re packing the product at customer’s end, will be rejected.

Q - Who should buy this product?

A - DIY is an expensive hobby. It is time consuming, and sometimes the desired result may not be achieved in the very first attempt. If you really love immersive audio and are ready to spend for it, Fredo subwoofers are meant for you. Our products are heavy and solid. We will cover you for at least 6 months against manufacturing defects. However a new product replacement within the warranty period will come at the cost of courier charges. Please ascertain if you really need this product. There will be no cash refunds for customers changing their mind about their purchase.

Q - How much do I have to pay for a courier charge, in case of a replacement?

A - ₹100 per kg approximately. Customers in J&K and North Eastern states, will pay a little bit extra as couriers are very expensive to them. We will arrange for courier service. You can pay at the time of delivery.

Q - What if I receive a broken product?

Q- What if I feel there’s a manufacturing defect?

A - All products are checked before shipping. The thickness of MDF may vary from 15mm to 18mm, and accordingly the weight, as per stock availability. These boxes are hand pasted, you may find fingerprint marks along with glue lines inside of the box. There may be a few mm of inconsistency between different enclosures attributed to human assembly limitations.

Q - Why do I have to pay for courier charges in case I feel there is a manufacturing defect?

A - This is a disputed scenario. We take utmost care in making and checking our products before dispatch. It may be the case that the enclosure may be subjected to fall damage, or might have got damaged while installing the subwoofer, at customer end.. Either case, we request the opinion of our factory technician and we request the customer to pay approx ₹100 per kg of courier charge for new product shipping.

Q - What is the Importance of packaging material?

A - Please preserve the packaging wood material and box, in case of return/replacement. It will help us to receive the product, undamaged, back in the Fredo factory.
